Why is there a loss as soon as I open a trade?

Please bear in mind that when you open a position, the current rate becomes the rate at which the position would close, i.e. the Sell rate. This is why, when you open a position, it shows an immediate loss due to the difference between the two rates i.e. the spread inherent in the trade.
